A bright yet earthy-toned watercolor portrait of my friend Joe. The inky wave of his hair crests over his forehead and his stubble makes a dusky purple across his jaw. His dark brows are in heavy contrast with the light shining down across his forehead and the bridge of his nose, casting deep shadows over his eyes, making the dark blue of his irises even more pronounced, and fracturing the red of his lips into different shades.
