Submit Your Creation

SUBMISSION CREATION PERIOD

  • Submissions created from July 1, 2019 to date qualify for posting*

  • COVID-19 period entries are encouraged and will be highlighted (from March 17, 2020)

 

AWARDS

There will be two awards for each age group. For Adults, there will be separate awards for Amateur and Professional entries. All submissions made by August 31, 2020 11:59 PM will be eligible (includes prior entries).

 

  1. Excellence Award – to be chosen by the Cultural Council

  2. Random Winner – selected from all remaining entries in a group
    Max. one award per entrant.

ICE CREAM GIFT CERTIFICATES

Individuals who submit entries by August 31, 2020 11:59 PM will receive an ice cream gift certificate-while supplies last! One per individual (includes prior entries).

 

The Virtual Showcase will continue to accept entries after August 31, 2020.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

We will post a maximum of 4 submissions per person in the following age groups:

  • Ages 0-5

  • Grades K-2

  • Grades 3-5

  • Middle School

  • High School

  • College

  • Adult Amateur

  • Adult Professional

*Please note that all submissions will be screened to make sure they are appropriate for all audiences.

Upload photos of your work, text documents for written submissions, or submit a link to a video to: submissions@carlisleculture.org. Please include:

  • Artist's Name

  • E-mail address

  • Age group

  • Creation period: before quarantine OR during quarantine

  • A brief description of or narrative about your submission that would describe it even to someone who may have impaired vision or hearing.

ARTWORK SUGGESTIONS

Visual Art Submissions

  • Submit photos of your finished art in .jpg or .png format at a resolution suitable for web presentation, i.e. 1920 x 1080 px. You may submit up to 3 views of dimensional pieces if needed to best showcase the art.

  • Try to center your art in the frame as best you can and crop out distracting backgrounds.

  • Submit a narrative of your piece that would describe it even to someone who may have impaired vision. 

 

Video or Music Submissions

  • Submit a web link that can be viewed publicly to your finished piece. YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, TikTok and DailyMotion, among others, allow you to upload video files and share links for free. â€‹

  • Submit a narrative of your piece that would describe it even to someone who may have impaired vision or hearing.

 

Writing Submissions

  • Please attach a text document containing your writing submission. If possible, do not put the copy in the body of your email.

  • If you would like, attach a graphic that can serve as a title or icon for your submission.

  • Submit a narrative of your piece that would describe it even to someone who may have impaired vision.
