This is a self-portrait of myself holding a nest in my outstretched hands wearing a flowered dress. You can't see my face. I am standing in front of a magnolia tree amid magnolia petals that have fallen to the ground. This was taken with a digital camera and, with photoshop, I made it black and white and then a light golden brown. I also blurred the edges of the image. I have taken self-portraits for about forty years. This image is part of my Empty Nest Series about my children leaving home.
