Trying to Let Go
This is a self-portrait of myself sitting on a rock, holding a birdcage surrounded by trees and leaves. I am wearing a spotted dress and looking up with my eyes closed. I took this image with a digital camera that only sees infrared light waves, so the leaves are whiter and the whole picture slightly dreamy. WIth photoshop, I made most of the image black and white and then left the dress a light orange color. I also blurred the edges of the photo. This image is part of my Empty Nest Series about my children leaving home.
