Who Wins? by Kendra Thyne

During Quarantine 2020, I have found myself tied to a chair while reading, teaching, Zooming, emailing, etc. A sedentary life is not my normal state of being. As a choreographer, dancer, Pilates Instructor, and busy mom of four, I've always been active. This piece illustrates my frustration with the new normal. For others, the chair could represent an oppressive relationship, the feeling of being stuck inside, anxiety, depression, or any obstacle that restricts freedom.

Music: J.S. Bach, Cello Suite No. 4 in E-Flat Major played by Mstislav Rostopovich
